Bukhara airport temporarily suspends receiving aircraft due to strong dust storm
Due to unfavorable weather conditions, two flights were diverted to alternative airfields in Samarkand and Navoi.
The Turkish Airlines flight TK-266 on the Istanbul-Bukhara route could not land at the designated airport due to a dust storm.
The crew decided to fly to an alternative airfield in Samarkand. At 15:20 local time, the plane with 62 passengers on board landed at the Samarkand airport.
The Uzbekistan Airways flight HY-23 on the Tashkent-Bukhara route went to the alternative airfield in Navoi.
At 15:25 Tashkent time, the plane with 139 passengers landed at Navoi airport.
