In an initiative to regulate urban development, Tashkent city authorities have commenced the large-scale dismantling of illegal structures, as reported by the press service of the capital's administration.
Following an assessment of pedestrian comfort in various locales, attention was drawn to illegally erected structures and extensions. These constructions often lack a cohesive style and, in most cases, the necessary permits from urban services.
"The existence of these structures, located along roadsides, pose a danger to citizens. For instance, many do not have parking spaces or access routes, encroaching upon pedestrian pathways and sidewalks. This setup can create significant inconveniences and dangers, not only for other drivers but also for pedestrians," the statement explained.
People with residential and commercial buildings in Tashkent are called upon to rigorously verify their documents for adherence to urban planning standards.
The city administration also warned about exercising caution when acquiring such properties and advised consultation with legal services, emphasizing that no alternative documentation for buildings and structures exists other than the documents issued by Tashkent's cadastral services. These documents authenticate boundaries, areas, and types of buildings.
"For detailed clarification on any potential purchase, please contact the authorized bodies personally or through online government service platforms," the city administration advised, highlighting the importance of legitimacy in property dealings to ensure the orderly development of Tashkent's urban landscape.
