Five illegal mining farms found in Fergana region within a week
They accounted for the main share of the damage identified from illegal energy consumption.

In the Fergana region, five unregistered cryptocurrency mining farms were detected in the first eight days of February, according to the Ministry of Energy.
Specialists from Uzenergoinspektsiya together with law enforcement agencies discovered 23 cases of unauthorized use of electricity during raids in the region. The total damage is estimated at 7.31 billion UZS.
Protocols have been drawn up for all detected cases. Uzenergoinspektsia announced the transfer of case documents to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office and other departments, 33 illegal mining farms were found in Uzbekistan in 2023. Three of them were discovered in Kokand during the last three months of the year.
Most of the farms were found in the Navoi region. Additionally, three illegal miners were discovered in Tashkent and the capital region.
