Uzbek judoka Diyora Keldiyorova becomes a 5-time Grand Slam winner

The first day of the Baku Grand Slam judo tournament ended successfully for the Uzbekistan national team. Diyora Keldiyorova, competing in the up to 52 kg weight category, won a gold medal, defeating two-time Olympic medalist Odetta Giufrida from Italy in the final.

It should be noted that this was Keldiyorova’s fifth gold medal at a Grand Slam competition. She also adds 1,000 points to her world and Paris 2024 rankings. Another important point: this victory will make Keldiyorova the leader of the world rankings next week.
