In total, last year more than 87 thousand license plates worth 400 billion soums were purchased.
In 2023, 87 thousand license plates were sold at the commodity and raw materials exchange for 396.1 billion soums, the UzEx press service reports.
The most expensive “beautiful” license plate was sold to a legal entity for 450 million soums, which slightly exceeded the previous record set in 2021.
In second place is a license plate purchased by a legal entity for 439.56 million soums. The top five most expensive also included license plates worth 399.6, 395 and 378.18 million soums, which were purchased by individuals.
The “beautiful” license plate 777 RRR, which was auctioned off in October 2023 for almost 900 million soums, was not fully registered by the buyer at the traffic police separtment.
In April 2021, a “beautiful” license plate was sold for 441.5 million soums, which was almost twice as high as the previous record, when the license plate with 001 was sold for 206.7 million soums.
Over the three months of the year before last, the sales volume of “beautiful” license plates reached 86.7 billion soums, which was twice the level of 2020.
