Uzbekistan establishes diplomatic relations with Belize
On March 6, in New York City, representatives of Uzbekistan and Belize signed a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The document was inked on behalf of the governments of the two countries by Ulugbek Lapasov, the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the United Nations, and Carlos Fuller, the Permanent Representative of Belize to the United Nations.
The parties expressed a strong interest in strengthening cooperation within the framework of international organizations, including the United Nations and its specialized agencies.
An agreement was reached to activate interactions in searching for mutually beneficial directions of bilateral cooperation.
Belize has become the 147th state with which Uzbekistan has established diplomatic relations.
It should be reminded that on March 5, 2024, in New York City, a Joint Communiqué was signed between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Principality of Liechtenstein on the establishment of diplomatic relations.
