Fraudster who promised to arrange a TOEFL certificate for $1,500 detained
The suspect promised to grant a certificate of knowledge of English through his high-ranking acquaintances.
During an operative event carried out by law enforcement officers, citizen G.N. was detained, who promised to provide a TOEFL certificate confirming the knowledge of the English language, the press service of the PGO Department for Combating Economic Crimes reported.
It turned out that the suspect earned the trust of citizen D.B. and promised to arrange him a TOEFL certificate for $1,500 through his high-ranking acquaintances without passing any exams.
On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Articles 168 (Fraud) and 211 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being carried out.
