Uzbekistan takes part in UNODC Youth Forum for the first time
From March 12 to 14, youth from Uzbekistan took part for the first time in the annual forum organized by the United Nations Youth Initiative within the framework of the 67th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND).
The event brought together 35 young participants from 27 countries, where they discussed important issues in preventing drug use and promoting youth health.
The Youth Forum has become a platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences and perspectives of young leaders from around the world. Participants from Uzbekistan admired new concepts and initiatives, and enjoyed the opportunity to interact and learn from their peers from different countries.
The Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, Ghada Waly, warmly welcomed the young leaders, encouraging them to use this forum for learning and interaction. Director of Policy Analysis and Public Relations Jean-Luc Lemahieu also emphasized the importance of this event in the development of youth initiatives.
The participation of youth from Uzbekistan in the Youth Forum is intended to contribute to the creation of a healthier and safer society in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals. This also confirms the desire of young people to actively participate in solving global problems and exchange experiences to achieve common goals.
