Low-income families and unemployed individuals to gain access to free training and foreign language courses via vouchers
Unemployed individuals, those without official income, and members of low-income families will be eligible to receive vouchers for free vocational or language training.
According to a government resolution, the regulation “On the procedure for issuing vouchers for vocational and foreign language training” has been approved.
The regulation sets out the procedure for covering training costs through vouchers for the unemployed – including members of families listed in the “Register of low-income households” – as well as jobseekers without official income.
The Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment will maintain an electronic register of educational institutions that provide training on a voucher basis through its ecosys.mehnat.uz platform.
Applicants can apply for vouchers by submitting requests directly to the ministry’s district or city offices, through deputy hokims for mahallas, or via the ecosys.mehnat.uz system.
When an application is submitted, the relevant district or city office will first offer the applicant available job vacancies that match their qualifications within one day.
If the applicant does not have a specific specialty or does not accept the proposed job offer, the issue of granting a voucher will be considered. In this process, the applicant undergoes scoring through ecosys.mehnat.uz, and if they fall into one of the designated categories, they will be entitled to receive a voucher.
The voucher must be used within three months. Each applicant may receive training in a profession or foreign language free of charge once through this program.
