Uzhydromet issues avalanche warning for mountain regions
From May 1 to 8, an avalanche threat has been declared in the mountainous areas of the Tashkent region.
According to Uzhydromet (Uzbekistan's Hydrometeorological Service), due to expected precipitation and temperature changes, there will be an avalanche danger from May 1 to 8 in the following mountainous districts of the Tashkent region:
- Above 2000 meters above sea level in the Bostanlyk, Parkent, and Akhangaran districts (Chatkal mountain range).
Residents, tourists, and drivers heading to the mountainous areas are advised to take precautions.
