New ambassador of Denmark takes office in Uzbekistan
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov today received the new Ambassador of Denmark Jakob Henningsen.
“Today the ministry received the new Ambassador of Denmark to Uzbekistan H.E. Jacob Henningsen, who arrived in Tashkent to present his credentials, the head of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry wrote in his telegram channel. – During our meeting, we discussed the development of Uzbek-Danish relations and identified promising areas for further cooperation. I wish Mr. Ambassador success in achieving his goals to strengthen our ties”.
It should be recalled that Uzbekistan and Denmark established diplomatic relations on January 25, 1992. Denmark became the first European country with which Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations.

The new ambassador is 52 years old. The diplomat worked in various positions in the central office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a number of Danish embassies abroad. Since 2022, he has represented Denmark as ambassador to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan with residence in Moscow.
