Mirziyoyev awards António Guterres with the Order of “Dustlik”
At the Kuksaroy residence, a ceremony was held to present one of the highest state awards of Uzbekistan – the Order of “Dustlik” – to UN Secretary General António Guterres.

He was awarded “for actively promoting solidarity and unity in the world, increasing the efficiency of the organization, as well as strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN”.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted Guterres’ personal contribution to achieving an unprecedented high level of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN. The head of state also emphasized the Secretary General’s full support for the reforms and initiatives of Uzbekistan being carried out in the country, as well as the expansion of the activities of UN institutions in the republic.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with António Guterres yesterday. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the joint development of a Framework Program for Cooperation with the UN on the SDG of Uzbekistan for 2026-2030.
