Nearly 200 bus drivers blacklisted in Tashkent for endangering passenger safety
In Tashkent, the number of bus drivers added to the "blacklist" has reached 197. Officials emphasized that these drivers will not be rehired.
The employment contracts of bus drivers of routes 67 and 18 were terminated for gross violations of traffic rules on Shota Rustaveli Street in Tashkent, reports "Toshshahartransxizmat."
The buses ran red lights, stopped at unauthorized locations, and dropped passengers in the middle of the road.
It was emphasized that the employment contracts with these drivers were terminated for endangering passengers' lives, abusing their duties, and committing gross violations. Additionally, the driver of bus route 18 has been added to "Toshshahartransxizmat's" "blacklist."
Drivers listed in this electronic database will not be rehired by any bus depot branches. Currently, the number of such drivers has reached 197.
Previously, "Toshshahartransxizmat" announced that bus drivers committed 1,392 violations in the second quarter of 2024.
