Marakand Logair is constructing a multimodal class "A" transport and logistics center named "Logopark Samarkand," Spot writes with reference to the parent group of the company, SEG Enera.
Construction of the complex began in February this year on a site adjacent to Samarkand Airport, near the M37 highway. The center, covering an area of over 40,000 square meters, is expected to become the largest such facility in the region.
The center will feature storage facilities with all temperature regimes. It will house goods from international and local manufacturing, distribution, logistics companies, and e-commerce platforms.
The opening of the complex is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025. Currently, Marakand Logair is signing agreements for organizing warehousing activities and leasing premises.
"In the Samarkand region, considering the dynamic growth of both domestic and international trade, there is a significant unmet demand for modern warehouse spaces. We are ready to offer potential clients dry, cold, and bonded warehouses for long-term storage of imported goods without customs clearance," noted Ikrom Yadgarov, CEO of Marakand Logair.
According to "Kommersant," as of early June, there were virtually no available world-class warehouse properties left in Uzbekistan. The cost of space in class "A" warehouses reached the highest rate in the CIS — $156 per square meter.
