Japan invites construction workers from Uzbekistan
The Japanese construction company Shimizu Corporation is seeking construction workers aged 18 to 35.
According to the Migration Agency, applicants are offered a salary ranging from 220,000 to 235,000 Japanese yen after all taxes (from $1,300 to $1,400).
The main requirements for candidates:
- Knowledge of the Japanese language (JLPT N4 or JFT Basic A2 certificate);
- Certificate of completion of a special construction qualification exam (Tokuteigino 1-go);
- Graduation from a high school, lyceum, or vocational college;
- Willingness to work for up to 5 years.
The employment program does not require previous work experience. Candidates will be selected based on an oral interview.
Applications can be submitted from July 19, 18:30 to July 22, 12:00 via the link.
In April, the president signed a decree supporting labor migrants abroad. An attaché for labor migration issues was introduced at the Embassy and Consulate of Uzbekistan in Japan.
Citizens of Uzbekistan can receive compensation for expenses incurred for departure:
- For work visa processing costs - up to 5 BCA (1.7 million UZS);
- For expenses for professional and language exams upon obtaining certificates - up to 3 BCA (1.02 million UZS);
- For ticket purchases - up to 2 BCA (680 thousand UZS).
In recent months, several EU countries have also announced the organized recruitment of workers from Uzbekistan. Germany invited 5,000 people for various jobs, Hungary opened recruitment for truck drivers, Slovakia for auto plant workers, and Latvia invited welders.
