Additional days off have been designated by a presidential decree establishing extra non-working days and shifting weekends when celebrating official dates in 2024.
Tuesday, September 3, has been declared an additional day off for all employees, regardless of their workweek schedule. Since September 1, Uzbekistan's Independence Day, falls on a Sunday, this holiday will be moved to Monday, September 2.
Saturday, August 31, will be an extra day off for those who work six days a week and a regular day off for those who work five days a week.
Thus, in connection with Independence Day, Uzbeks will enjoy four consecutive days off.
