Tashkent launches additional air and bus services to regions for Eid al-Adha

Transport authorities in Uzbekistan have introduced a series of extra domestic flights and bus routes to accommodate the surge in travel demand during the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday. Between May 25–31, Uzbekistan Airways, Silk Avia, and Centrum Air will operate a combined 28 additional round-trip flights from the capital to Bukhara, Termez, Urgench, and Nukus.

The Ministry of Transport reported that these supplemental flights are expected to transport approximately 8,988 passengers. Under the current standard schedule, there are 97 flights per week connecting Tashkent to these major regional hubs, including 23 flights each to Bukhara and Termez, 35 to Urgench, and 16 to Nukus.

In addition to the expanded air travel options, the Road Safety Service announced that 55 extra bus trips have been scheduled to transport passengers from Tashkent to the southern regions via Syrdarya. These measures aim to ensure smoother connectivity for citizens traveling to celebrate the holiday with their families.

Uzbekistan is set to celebrate Eid al-Adha on May 27. The increase in transport capacity addresses the traditional peak in domestic tourism and family visits during the Eid holiday.
