Iberojet launches charter flights from Madrid to Tashkent and Urgench
The Spanish company will fly to Uzbekistan twice a week, starting from September 2.
The Spanish airline Iberojet announced the launch of charter flights on the Madrid-Tashkent and Madrid-Urgench routes, the press service of Uzbekistan Airports reports.
The first flight to Tashkent will take place on September 2, and to Urgench – on September 8.
Flights will be carried out twice a week. Airbus 330 aircraft will be used on both routes.
In January of this year, it became known that the Spanish tour operator World2Meet, which is part of the Iberostar group, will launch charter flights to Uzbekistan. Its air carrier World2Fly also flew from Madrid to Tashkent and Urgench.
Long-haul Airbus A330 aircraft have been operated by Uzbekistan Airways since April 2023. In November of the same year, the private company Air Samarkand also received the first aircraft of this model. In May 2024, the company took two A330 aircraft from Qanot Sharq on a wet lease.
Earlier, Spot wrote that Uzbekistan Airways was launching a direct flight Tashkent-Nha Trang.
For information, Evelop Airlines, S.L., operating under the Iberojet brand, is a Spanish-Portuguese charter airline that operates short-term and long-haul flights from Spain and Portugal on behalf of tour operators. The airline was founded in 2013, its registered offices are in Palma de Mallorca and Lisbon.
