Uzbekistan and China forge closer cooperation in green energy, trade, and innovation
On September 5, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from China, led by Chen Min’er, a member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party and Communist Party Secretary of Tianjin.
According to the presidential press service, at the start of the meeting, Chen Min’er conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, to Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The parties discussed further deepening of multifaceted Uzbek-Chinese cooperation and practical interaction in accordance with the agreements reached at the highest level, particularly within the framework of active interregional dialogue.
It was noted with deep satisfaction that the Uzbek-Chinese relations of friendship and all-weather strategic partnership have reached an exceptionally high level in recent years.
Special attention was given to promoting cooperative projects with leading companies in Tianjin in the fields of trade, industry, "green" energy, construction and modernization of infrastructure, agriculture, textile, pharmaceuticals, and other sectors.
The importance of expanding programs of innovation, education, and cultural exchange was emphasized.
The sides reached an agreement on the adoption of a "roadmap" for mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and the city of Tianjin.
