Uzbekistan's state budget revenues up by 18.3% in H1 2024
State budget revenues in Uzbekistan increased by 18.3% in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year, amounting to 121 trillion UZS. This was announced during a plenary session of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis.
"Direct taxes accounted for 33.3%, indirect taxes 33.1%, resource taxes 14.2%, and other revenues 19.5% of the state budget's income," according to the website of the lower house of Oliy Majlis.
At the same time, state budget expenditures during this period amounted to 149.8 trillion UZS, an increase of 16%.
"In order to further deepen the systemic reforms aimed at providing the population with quality social services, 49.5% of the state budget's expenditures were directed toward the development of this sector. This is 14% more funds compared to the same period last year," the report said.
