President Mirziyoyev and Russian Prime Minister Mishustin discuss strengthening strategic partnership and cooperation
On September 10, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mikhail Mishustin conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the head of state.
During the talks, issues related to the multifaceted cooperation, comprehensive strategic partnership, and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Russia were discussed.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of decisions and agreements reached during the state visit of the Russian President to Uzbekistan from May 26-28 this year.
In this regard, the productive results of the latest meeting of the joint commission, held yesterday, were highly praised.
It was emphasized that coordinated measures should be taken to maintain trade exchange momentum, support and accelerate cooperation projects in priority sectors such as industry, energy, agriculture, transportation, and other key areas of the economy.
The President highlighted the importance of strengthening practical cooperation at the regional level, continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchanges, and establishing effective cooperation in the field of migration.
Additionally, the meeting included an exchange of views on topics of mutual interest.
