Air pollution offenses in Uzbekistan lead to 332 million UZS in fines for 1,356 citizens
In Uzbekistan, 1,356 citizens have been fined for air pollution over the past nine months of the current year.

According to the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, 117 of the offenders are officials.
"The violations include burning construction waste, plant residues in fields and residential areas, and more," the ministry’s statement said.
Protocols have been prepared against these individuals under Article 88 of the Administrative Code (Non-compliance with Atmospheric Air Protection Requirements). The total fines imposed amount to 332 million UZS.
