Uzbekistan and Poland to strengthen cooperation in agriculture
A delegation from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Agriculture recently visited Poland to explore opportunities for collaboration in the agricultural sector. During their visit, the delegation toured the offices of "Green Crops," a prominent vegetable production holding in Poland, where they gained insights into the company's operations.
The delegation held discussions with Adam Różyczki, the Managing Director of Green Crops, regarding the potential implementation of investment projects in Uzbekistan's agricultural sector. They also explored avenues for exporting fresh Uzbek fruits and vegetables to Poland, highlighting the mutual benefits of such trade.
A significant outcome of the meeting was the agreement to organize internships for students from Uzbekistan’s agricultural universities at Polish agricultural enterprises between May and October 2025. All expenses related to these internships will be covered by a special grant from Green Crops, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for Uzbek students.
In addition to their meeting with Green Crops, the delegation also engaged with the leadership of the Ignacy Mościcki University of Applied Sciences in Ciechanów. They discussed the prospects for further collaboration with agricultural universities in Uzbekistan, underscoring the importance of knowledge exchange and joint initiatives in agriculture.
