SpaceX to assist Uzbekistan in developing national space program

Both SpaceX and Surrey Satellite Technology offered expert consultations to help Uzbekistan create a comprehensive space program. The Congress, attended by over 11,000 representatives from space agencies, international organizations, and research institutions from 120 countries, provided a platform for these discussions.

During the event, Uzbekcosmos representatives conducted more than 30 meetings with key partners. A significant outcome was the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Ispace, a Japanese company specializing in lunar exploration using robotic spacecraft and advanced technologies.

The Uzbek delegation also explored collaboration with Azerbaijan’s space agency to develop a national Earth remote sensing system. This partnership aims to leverage Azerbaijan’s expertise to establish Uzbekistan’s own satellite-based Earth observation capabilities.

Additionally, an agreement was reached with Kyushu University in Japan to develop an educational program focused on training specialists in aerospace engineering. This initiative is expected to boost Uzbekistan's capacity to train a new generation of aerospace experts.

These efforts mark a significant step forward in Uzbekistan’s ambitions to advance its space exploration capabilities and establish a national space program with the help of leading global partners.
