Uzbekistan and Hungary strengthen customs cooperation to boost trade relations
A diplomatic meeting in Budapest between Uzbek representatives and Hungarian customs officials, led by Brigadier General and Deputy Commissioner for Customs Bakai Kristóf Péter, focused on advancing bilateral customs cooperation and improving trade conditions.
During the talks, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Oybek Shakhavdinov emphasized the importance of close coordination between the customs authorities of Uzbekistan and Hungary to foster economic collaboration. Both sides discussed measures to enhance customs infrastructure, accelerate the digitalization of processes, and streamline customs clearance procedures.
The Hungarian side expressed its commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at deepening trade relations with Uzbekistan, underscoring the role of customs cooperation in increasing trade turnover and creating favorable business conditions.
Additionally, satisfaction was expressed over the growing engagement between the customs agencies of Uzbekistan and Hungary within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
The meeting, marked by mutual understanding, reaffirmed the shared commitment of Uzbekistan and Hungary to strengthen their customs partnership, paving the way for enhanced bilateral economic ties.
