Two Hungarian nationals among those killed in Takhtakoracha landslide incident

Two Hungarian citizens have been confirmed among the victims of a tragic landslide in the Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan, which occurred on November 6. 

The landslide, which struck the "Kitob-Samarkand" road near the Takhtakoracha pass, resulted in the collapse of a large boulder onto a vehicle, leading to the deaths of three individuals, including the two Hungarians.

The Uzbek Embassy in Hungary expressed condolences to the families of the victims, offering sincere sympathy for their loss. In a statement, the embassy noted that this unfortunate incident was caused by a natural disaster, a phenomenon that can occur anywhere in the world. The embassy also assured that efforts were underway to clarify all the details of the incident, and confirmed that assistance would be provided in the repatriation of the victims' bodies to Hungary.

The tragic event occurred when a large stone fell onto a Cobalt car traveling through the Takhtakoracha pass in the Kitob district of Kashkadarya. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the landslide.
