President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a videoconference meeting to review this year’s outcomes in fostering entrepreneurship and outline the key goals for 2025. The meeting also included a dialogue with leading entrepreneurs.
Significant advancements have been made in the tourism sector. Entrepreneurs invested 6.5 trillion UZS, resulting in the launch of hotels with a combined capacity of 24,000 rooms this year.
Plans for next year are even more ambitious, with 30,000 additional rooms set to be created through an investment of 10 trillion UZS by private businesses.
Seventeen large-scale commercial and tourism complexes have become operational this year, with 25 more scheduled to open next year.
Soon, the construction of the Sea Breeze project in Bustanlyk will commence. The project is valued at $10 billion. Furthermore, Uzbekistan is welcoming 23 world-renowned hotel brands, including Swissôtel, Sheraton, Ritz-Carlton, Novotel, Pullman, Marriott, ibis, and Mercure.
To enhance trade development, a specialized company has been established, allocating $350 million to finance exports. This initiative has delivered impressive results, with every dollar invested generating $6 in export revenue.
Looking ahead, an additional $300 million will be allocated to further support export growth next year.
