President Mirziyoyev extends condolences to Aliyev and Putin following plane crash in Kazakhstan
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has expressed his condolences to the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia following a tragic Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan.
In his messages to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Mirziyoyev conveyed words of sympathy to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.
The plane, en route from Baku to Grozny, crashed on December 25 at 12:00 local time. According to official reports, the aircraft was carrying 67 passengers and five crew members. Of those onboard, 29 people, including two children, survived the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, while leaders from across the region extend support to those affected.
