Uzbekistan sees surge in mobile phone imports; China remains major supplier
According to the Statistics Agency, Uzbekistan imported 3.8 million mobile phones worth $346.5 million during the first 11 months of 2024.
The bulk of these imports came from China, which supplied 3.1 million units, making it the leading exporter of mobile phones to Uzbekistan. Other major contributors included:
• Vietnam: 535,500 units
• India: 110,700 units
• Hong Kong: 43,200 units
• Other countries: 5,100 units
In 2023, the country imported 3.4 million mobile phones for $240.1 million, with 3.1 million units coming from China.
