The development is part of the "Green Belt of Tashkent" initiative, which includes a Central Park spanning 420 hectares. The park will feature 200,000 newly planted trees, supported by a 50-hectare nursery established on-site. During his visit, President Mirziyoyev reviewed the saplings, landscape design, and irrigation systems planned for the park.
So far, 27,000 ornamental trees have been planted, with supporting infrastructure such as greenhouses, boiler houses, and irrigation facilities already in place.
In New Tashkent, temporary administrative buildings are being constructed to facilitate the operations of various ministries and government agencies. President Mirziyoyev toured these facilities to examine the working conditions.
Currently, four lightweight structures and auxiliary buildings have been completed using entirely local construction materials. Designed in an "open space" layout, each building can accommodate up to 250 employees.
The temporary offices will allow a gradual relocation of government functions to New Tashkent, alleviating traffic congestion in the capital.
