Tashkent once again ranked as the world's most polluted city
According to the IQAir portal, the air quality in Uzbekistan's capital has been deemed extremely harmful to human health, with Tashkent rising to first place among the world's major cities for air pollution levels as of January 28.

At 2:00 PM today, the concentration of PM 2.5 particulate matter in the city's air reached 184 µg/m³, which is 36.8 times higher than the World Health Organizationās recommended annual average for air quality.
Moreover, social media users have shared videos showing residents witnessing a blanket of dust and thick black smoke covering the skies of the capital when viewed from Tashkent province.
