Over 2 million RUB confiscated in customs violation case at Tashkent region border
Authorities in the Tashkent region have detained individuals attempting to illegally export more than 2 million Russian rubles (approximately $21.9 thousand) at the "Farhod" customs post, according to the regional Customs Department.
During customs checks, two passengers traveling to a neighboring country raised suspicion due to their unusual behavior. As a result, both individuals underwent a personal search as per standard procedure.
One of the passengers was found carrying 1.4 million Russian rubles (approximately $14.4 thousand) in a bag, which had not been declared or mentioned during the oral customs inquiry. The second passenger was carrying 730 thousand Russian rubles (approximately $7.5 thousand).
An investigation into the case is currently underway.
