Uzbekistan wins gold at International Army Games in Pakistan
A closing and award ceremony for the 8th edition of the "Team Spirit" International Army Games was held on April 18 in the city of Hariana, Pakistan.

The competition brought together military teams from the defense ministries of 12 countries: Uzbekistan, Belarus, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the United States, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, China, Morocco, and Nepal. Observers from five additional countries were also present.
The Uzbekistan team achieved the highest result, winning the competition and securing the gold medal. Turkey claimed second place, while teams from Saudi Arabia and Belarus shared third.
It is noteworthy that this marks the fifth time Uzbekistan has taken first place in these games.
The Uzbek servicemen secured their victory despite the competition involving complex, combat-like tasks that demanded high levels of skill and specialized training.
Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, presented the main prize to the head of the Uzbekistan team, Lieutenant Colonel Bahodir Kasimov, who also serves as the head of a department at the Ministry of Defense. Team members were also awarded.
In turn, Lieutenant Colonel Kasimov presented General Munir with a commemorative gift on behalf of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defense.
General Asim Munir asked that his sincere congratulations and best wishes be conveyed to the leadership and Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan.
