Citizen of Uzbekistan dies after suffering heart failure amid earthquake scare in Istanbul
According to preliminary reports, a citizen of Uzbekistan suffered a fatal heart attack triggered by severe stress during the recent earthquake in Istanbul.
A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Istanbul the previous day. Authorities reported that at least 151 people sustained injuries, with many jumping from buildings in a panic following the tremors.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan stated that on April 23, the Uzbek national passed away due to heart failure. It is believed that the man was on the upper floor of a building when he experienced extreme fear, which led to his death.
The Consulate General is taking the necessary legal and organizational steps to repatriate the deceased's body to Uzbekistan.
