Rail transport sees steady growth with 2.9 million passengers in first quarter
According to data from the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan’s railway sector transported nearly 2.9 million passengers between January and March 2025.
This figure marks an increase of 91,100 passengers compared to the same period in 2024, showing growing demand for railway services across the country.
On a daily basis, an average of 31,900 passengers used railway transportation during the first quarter of the year. This represents a rise of 1,400 passengers per day compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.
