Over 732,000 applicants registered for university entrance exams in Uzbekistan this year
The registration process for applicants seeking admission to higher education institutions in Uzbekistan for the 2025–2026 academic year has officially concluded.
According to Jamshidbek Odilov, Head of the Department for Organizing and Monitoring Test Exams at the Agency for Knowledge Assessment, a total of 732,411 applicants successfully completed online registration.
Notably, more than 52% of this year’s applicants are female.
The distribution of applicants by language of instruction is as follows:
- Uzbek language – 644,027 applicants
- Russian language – 71,476 applicants
- Karakalpak language – 14,959 applicants
- Other languages – 1,949 applicants
The gender breakdown is as follows:
- Male applicants – 346,299
- Female applicants – 386,112
