The head of the IsDB congratulated Uzbekistan on the successful organization of the forum and reaffirmed the Bank’s readiness to support the country’s efforts to reduce poverty.
The sides discussed expanding cooperation to advance Uzbekistan’s reform strategy. It was noted that the joint project portfolio has already exceeded $5 billion, covering priority areas such as transport, infrastructure, housing construction, energy, healthcare, and education. More than 40% of investments are directed toward the private sector.
Mirziyoyev proposed developing a long-term strategic partnership program with the IsDB, which would allow for doubling the project portfolio and boosting financing for infrastructure, social, and private initiatives.
Special attention during the meeting was given to projects in business support, construction of modern medical centers, modernization of highways, rehabilitation of irrigation systems, and other key areas.
