Uzbekistan and Latvia discuss cooperation on labor migration
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev held talks on 18 September with Latvian Ambassador Ģirts Jaunzems.
According to the Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, the parties reviewed the results of Uzbekistan’s delegation visit to Latvia on 27–28 January 2025 and outlined next steps for implementing agreements reached in the field of labor migration.
The sides agreed to accelerate Latvia’s consideration of the draft intergovernmental agreement and to organize consular consultations between relevant departments of the two foreign ministries.
