Uzbekistan signs labor migration agreement with South Korea
Uzbekistan and Gyeongsangnam-do Province of the Republic of Korea have signed a partnership agreement in the field of labor migration, the Migration Agency reported.
The document provides for the issuance of E-7 work visas to qualified specialists from Uzbekistan. Young people with vocational education will be able to work and improve their skills at large industrial enterprises in the province.
Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do Park Wan-su noted that this is “the first document on the admission of foreign labor in the history of the province,” adding that local employers highly value the training and skills of young professionals from Uzbekistan.
In addition, the two sides discussed the resumption of E-8 visa issuance for seasonal agricultural workers and agreed to launch “positive projects” in this area.
