“Dear teachers and mentors, you have dedicated your lives to the most noble mission in the world – the education and upbringing of the younger generation. I sincerely congratulate you, as well as all devoted workers in this field, on this nationwide holiday – Teachers and Mentors’ Day. On this joyful day, I once again express the deep respect and gratitude of our people for your hard and honorable work in building the future of New Uzbekistan,” the president said at the beginning of his congratulatory message.

The head of state emphasized that the results of education reforms had attracted significant attention and interest from the international community at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. The achievements in this area, he noted, created a basis for putting forward new initiatives of international importance.

The president also outlined a series of measures expected to be implemented in the sector in the coming years.

Starting next year, “New Generation” kindergartens modeled on Presidential Schools will be established in Karakalpakstan and all regions, where educators will study advanced pedagogical technologies.

From the new academic year, 12-year school education will be introduced, along with unified state exams for students in the 9th and 11th grades. Based on exam results, graduates will be able to enroll directly in vocational schools and universities.

Within a year, 100 vocational schools will establish cooperation with educational institutions from developed countries such as Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, and the Republic of Korea, with advanced curricula to be introduced.

Coverage of dual education will increase fivefold. To help students master new technologies and communicate freely with foreign investors and partners, the number of foreign language classes in vocational schools will be quadrupled.

A new digital open platform will also be launched next year to publish information about the professional skills of vocational school graduates, making it available to local and international employers.

In addition, the position of school counselor will be introduced in general secondary schools, tasked with guiding students toward professional careers from the 7th grade.

It is also planned that, starting from the next academic year, children of teachers admitted to state universities will receive a 30 percent discount on tuition fees.

“The great thinkers and scholars who laid the foundations of the two Renaissance periods in our country’s history were once nurtured and educated by teachers like you. As worthy successors of these noble traditions, I believe you will also contribute greatly to nurturing the builders of the Third Renaissance now being established in our beloved homeland. On this noble path, I wish you good health, strength, new achievements, and family happiness. May you always enjoy the respect and honor of our people and your students,” the president said in conclusion.
