Cashback payments to consumers exceed UZS 900 billion since January
Consumers across Uzbekistan have received more than UZS 906.6 billion in cashback payments from the State Tax Committee since the beginning of this year, the agency’s press service reported.
The figures cover the period from January to August, with nearly UZS 99.8 billion distributed in August alone. Over the same month, 121.8 million receipts were registered through the Soliq mobile application.
Tashkent remains the undisputed leader in cashback payouts. Residents of the capital received UZS 41.8 billion in August and a total of UZS 373.7 billion over the first eight months. The Tashkent region followed with UZS 8.2 billion, while other leading regions included Fergana (UZS 7.1 billion), Samarkand (UZS 6.9 billion), and Namangan (UZS 5.2 billion).
The cashback system, which allows consumers to receive a portion of their spending back when registering purchase receipts, continues to grow in popularity as part of the government’s efforts to encourage transparency in retail transactions.
