As of 1 October 2025, Uzbekistan’s population reached 38.069 million. Women make up 49.6% (18.897 million), while men account for 50.4% (19.173 million) of the total population.

In terms of external migration, 1,133 people moved to Uzbekistan, and 7,585 left the country.
Earlier, during a videoconference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, it was reported that nearly 32,000 families had divorced since the beginning of 2025. Around 16,000 parents have been avoiding alimony payments, and cases have been observed where individuals left their families and children burdened with loan debts.
The meeting emphasized the importance of promoting the advantages of marriage contracts to help prevent both parties – especially children – from falling into financial hardship after divorce.
