President Mirziyoyev and King Philippe discuss prospects for Uzbek–Belgian cooperation
As part of his official visit to Brussels, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with King Philippe of the Belgians at the Laeken Palace.

The sides discussed further expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, economic affairs, investment, and cultural and humanitarian spheres. They also exchanged views on current issues on the international and regional agenda.
King Philippe highly commended the productive results of President Mirziyoyev’s talks with the leadership of the European Union and sincerely congratulated him on the signing of the historic Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement with the EU.
The meeting noted with satisfaction the steady development of Uzbek–Belgian relations. The parties emphasized the importance of organizing new business missions of Belgian companies to Uzbekistan and holding mutual cultural events.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan invited King Philippe to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan.
