Uzbekistan Airways orders eight more Boeing 787-9s, total fleet reaches 22

Uzbekistan Airways has converted options for eight additional Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners into firm orders, boosting its fleet and supporting the airline’s strategy to expand international routes. With this deal, the carrier’s total 787 orders now reach 22.

The new wide-body aircraft, known for their high efficiency and long-range capabilities, will allow Uzbekistan Airways to accelerate the growth of its global network. The 787-9 platform offers improved operational efficiency, flexibility, and capacity for long-haul routes, reinforcing the airline’s competitiveness in the international market.

The signing ceremony took place in Washington during the C5+1 summit. Attendees included U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Qudratov.
