Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan launch seven joint projects worth $1.2 billion
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev have launched seven major joint projects with a total value of $1.2 billion, marking a significant step toward strengthening bilateral industrial cooperation and strategic partnership.

The projects span key sectors of the economy, including industry, construction, oil and gas chemistry, finance, logistics and tourism. The two leaders inaugurated the initiatives via video link.
Among the headline projects is the launch of the “Central Asia” International Industrial Cooperation Centre, which is being established in Syrdarya region in Uzbekistan and Turkistan region in Kazakhstan. The center is expected to become a new hub for regional trade and manufacturing.
In Tashkent, the presidents gave the green light to the opening of Tenge Bank’s new headquarters and the construction of a multifunctional logistics center in Tashkent region. They also initiated the development of the “Astana” residential district in New Tashkent.
One of the most significant industrial initiatives is the launch of a large oil, gas and chemical complex in Kashkadarya region, where linear alkylbenzene production will be established.
Additionally, construction has begun on two major hotel complexes: the “Astana” hotel in New Tashkent and the “Tashkent” complex in the Kazakh capital.
