Family of four dies from carbon monoxide poisoning in Bukhara
The bodies of a married couple and their two minor daughters were found in an apartment building in Bukhara. Preliminary findings indicate the cause of death was poisoning by a substance of unknown origin.
A tragic incident involving carbon monoxide poisoning has occurred in Bukhara.
According to Hayot Shamsutdinov, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General’s Office, the incident took place on 23 November 2025 at a residential building on Hamza Street in the city of Bukhara. A 43-year-old man, his 40-year-old wife and their two minor daughters died as a result.
Preliminary forensic findings indicate that the cause of death was acute respiratory and cardiovascular failure caused by poisoning by a substance of unknown etiology.
The Bukhara city prosecutor’s office is currently conducting a pre-investigation review into the incident.
Earlier, in Andijan, an employee of the internal affairs bodies and his minor daughter also died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
