Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulates young athletes on achievements at the President’s Olympics
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has congratulated the winners, medalists, and all participants of the President’s Olympics, addressing young athletes, their parents, coaches, and trainers. In his message, he highlighted the athletes’ achievements, the development of the Olympics system, and future plans.

Mirziyoyev noted that nearly 3,000 of the strongest athletes, selected from more than 100,000 young participants during the qualifying stages, competed in the finals of the President’s Olympics.
The president praised the exceptional performances of young athletes who set new records in weightlifting, athletics, Greco-Roman wrestling, and taekwondo, and who defeated reigning champions. He specifically recognized Shakhnoza Haydarova, Mohinur Esonboyeva, Sadafbonu Nusratullayeva, Qamariddin Khudoyberganov, Komila Sultanova, Umarali Abdujabborov, and Miraslava Omelchenko for their outstanding results.
He also noted that 23 young athletes discovered through the “Five Initiatives Olympics”, launched four years ago, became winners and medalists at this year’s President’s Olympics.
Mirziyoyev stressed that these competitions serve as an important school of experience, instilling the Olympic spirit and values in young people and preparing them for international arenas.
Starting next year, the President’s Olympics system will expand to include water sports, cycling, triathlon, fencing, and team sports. Each stage will fully adopt international sporting standards.
The president also announced several measures:
• coaches will be trained based on modern methodologies;
• referees will undergo skills development;
• the infrastructure of sports schools and clubs will be improved;
• competition results will be evaluated openly and transparently.
Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to the regional administrations, ministry and agency leaders, sports federations, universities and schools, volunteers, and sports fans for ensuring a high level of organization for the competitions.
The president called on young athletes to work tirelessly, strive confidently for greater goals, and wished them even brighter victories in future competitions.
