First batch of Hyundai Rotem high-speed trains shipped to Uzbekistan
The train named Jaloliddin Manguberdi is expected to operate on the Tashkent–Khiva route in 2026.
A ceremony marking the official shipment of the first batch of Hyundai Rotem high-speed trains produced for Uzbekistan was held at the Masan Port in Changwon, South Korea.
The event was attended by a delegation led by Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khojayev, as well as representatives of the Korean government and Hyundai Rotem executives.

The first train of Uzbekistan’s new high-speed fleet, named Jaloliddin Manguberdi, was manufactured by Hyundai Rotem under a contract signed with Uzbekistan Railways in June 2024.
During his visit to Khorezm region in May, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that six high-speed electric trains would be purchased from Hyundai Rotem and deployed next year on the Tashkent–Khiva route under the Jaloliddin Manguberdi brand.
It was noted that, unlike the regular train that takes 14 hours to travel from Tashkent to Khiva, the new high-speed service will cover the distance in 7 hours 40 minutes.
