The initiatives span multiple districts of the capital and are aimed at accelerating urban development while diversifying the city’s economic base. Priority investment areas include services, the creative economy, design, and tourism, particularly in the Uchtepa, Chilanzar, Yakkasaray, Shaykhantahur, and Almazar districts.
The flagship project is Uchtepa City, a $1 billion development planned on a 37-hectare site. The project envisages the construction of a modern hotel, business centers, a large shopping and entertainment complex, and residential apartments, positioning the area as a new mixed-use urban hub.
Similar large-scale developments with a total value of $2.5 billion are planned for the Chilanzar, Yakkasaray, and Almazar districts.
In parallel, projects worth $1 billion will be launched in the Mirzo Ulugbek, Yunusabad, Mirabad, and Yashnabad districts. These will focus on high-value sectors such as artificial intelligence, startups, fintech, financial services, healthcare, and education.
The government sees the projects as central to transforming Tashkent into a regional center for innovation, services, and modern urban living.
