Man wanted for serious crime extradited from Poland to Uzbekistan
A man accused of committing a serious crime and hiding in Poland has been identified, detained, and extradited to Uzbekistan, following coordinated efforts by Interpol’s National Central Bureau in Uzbekistan and the country’s embassy in Poland.
Interpol Uzbekistan carried out operational investigations in close cooperation with embassy representatives, which enabled the identification and apprehension of the suspect. The individual had been evading justice while residing in Poland.
In accordance with procedures established under international treaties, the suspect was deported to Uzbekistan and handed over to local law enforcement authorities. Officials emphasized that ongoing international cooperation continues to produce positive results in combating cross-border crime.
The individual will face legal accountability under Uzbek law for the committed offenses.
